We used The Plant Guys to Reno our whole back yard. It included dethatch, scarify, till up the current topsoil, level (had a terrible slope), and bring in 10 yards of screened topsoil along with soil amendments. They also helped us design 2 planting areas and planted 13 large bushes and a Crepe Myrtle tree. After all of that, they brought in mulch and layer that for us.
They were on time every day and totally professional. Very courteous and were always aware of where things were like irrigation heads, drain lines, etc. Hard workers and take great pride in their work. During the reno when we had questions they took the time to answer them to our satisfaction. Handled our new plants carefully and were totally knowledgeable about the specific plants we ordered. Pricing was in line with all of my research if I were to do it myself. (Glad I didn’t though)
I was very impressed with The Plant Guys and would recommend them for any job. Thanks to them, we have an upgraded backyard that we look forward to spending a lot of time in admiring our beautiful plants. Thanks Plant Guys.

We have used The Plant Guys many times. Today Sept 14,2026 we had our front beds re done. The two guys were professional and did a great job working with us. Patient and great ideas. They took out trees , ground stumps, planted new shrubs and mulched . took their time and cleaned up great !! Have to say Nick got right back to me with an estimate and any time I e mailed him with a question he got right back and answered all my questions. Linda called me directly and tracked down certain gold cones I wanted. Love these people !! . !! Very happy. Kathy and Robert you just do not get this service these days !! Thank you ❤️

The Plant Guys did a landscaping project for us involving redoing our landscaping in front of our house and putting in new landscaping on the side of our house. They first came to the house, asked about our project and came up with a design for our landscaping. The project estimate was less than we had budgeted. The installation involved: removing all of the bushes in front of the house, preparing the beds both in the front and side of the house, planting the new plants, putting in edged mulch beds around all of our trees in the front and side yards and putting mulch in all of the beds. The installation crew did a great job. They removed all of the existing bushes. The project was installed as agreed to with the design plans. All of the plants were very healthy. The crew cleaned up everything. Everyone was very courteous and professional. I highly recommend The Plant Guys for your landscaping project.

The Plant Guys were exceptional. Our consultant Jeff came to the house twice for consultations to lock in the exact look we wanted, and helped with recommendations for plants that would work best for our very rocky soil. I will use them for any and all installations in the future!

The Plant Guys truly did the impossible. When my wife and I moved into our first home last year, a backyard drainage problem caused by an underground spring and improper downspout installation by the builder created a situation where 1/3 of our backyard was nearly swamp-like conditions and unusable. We received several quotes from other landscape companies - some were very low and present an insufficient plan while others were more expensive than our down payment for the home. The plan and quote provided by Justin was not only the most thorough, it was also very reasonably priced for the amount of work it would be. The site crew was incredibly efficient and thorough. After all the work was completed, you never would have known there was such a major drainage issue. It's been just over 6 months since the work was complete and the backyard has remained completely dry and the grass looks beautiful. It's exciting to have a functional backyard and that was all possible due to The Plant Guys. I've now referred both my neighbors because they noticed the great work done by The Plant Guys. Can't recommend them enough!

Jackson did an amazing job refreshing the landscaping in our front garden. He sculpted our Japanese maple tree and removed the branches that were too close to our house. Then, he trimmed our three Butterfly bushes along our front sidewalk to give them more room to bloom. He also checked the irrigation system that he installed in 2023, removed dirt from the mouth of the hose connector, and recommended a cap to place over the opening. Finally, he laid down beautiful decorative stones under the hose to prevent dirt from clogging it. Jackson combined his artistry with a friendly, courteous demeanor. He was prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and detail-oriented. I highly recommend The Plant Guys for their knowledge of plant life, professionalism, quick response time, and reasonable prices.

Great locally owned outfit for landscaping needs. I’ve had them out to my house at least twice for trees and shrubs install and design and it’s been super smooth. My dad has relied on Jeff for 15+ years for plant advice and he did an amazing job helping me with my latest project. I went to school with Nick and it’s been awesome seeing him create and grow this business to where it is today. Happy to report that I’ve now used them and have been impressed with their work!

I needed Spring fertilizer and mulch put down in my garden, and Devin from The Plant Guys got the assignment. He did a great job! He cleaned the bed first of last Fall's leaves, then mulch was evenly spread over the entire area, followed by fertilizer. I had some questions, which he willingly answered, then offered to water. He showed me how to properly water the area with a small sprinkler that was provided at an earlier date by Nick, the owner. All in all, a good experience! Almost forgot to mention, he did a stellar job of pruning my Camillia.

Nick and The Plant Guys created and executed a 1st Class landscape design for our townhouse, including a 65' retaining wall and bordered foundation plant beds, complete with deer-resistant plants, a drainage system, an irrigation system and a paver area for our trash & recycling with a sloped section for easy access. We are 100% pleased with the design, the hardscape, and the plant selection and installation. Nick (the owner) was personally involved in our project from start to finish, and Scott & Jackson (the project supervisors) did much of the work themselves. Their work ethic and the pride that they take in producing a quality project was evident everyday on the job. We found all of The Plant Guys to be communicative, responsive, and willing & able to address every challenge that our project presented. Very highly recommended!

The Plant Guys absolutely transformed our yard, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. From the very first conversation, they were professional, attentive, and full of creative ideas. They took the time to understand what we wanted, offered thoughtful suggestions, and delivered a design that was even better than we imagined.

Their crew worked efficiently, treated our property with care, and clearly took pride in every detail. The quality of their work shows in every corner of our yard — it feels like a completely new space.

If you’re looking for a team that’s reliable, talented, and genuinely passionate about what they do, The Plant Guys are the ones to call. We’re thrilled with the outcome and highly recommend them.

Devin did a great job removing an old tree and planting a new 25-gallon tree. The job site was left clean, removal area of old tree was left flat and ready to plant new grass in spring. At end of project, Devon went over the watering steps needed to keep tree healthy. Would definitely contact The Plant Guys again for landscape / hardscape needs.

Very professional and knowledgeable about landscaping. Reliable. They clearly value good customer service. The Plant Guys planted a tree in my front yard about 4 years ago. I contacted them yesterday about my disappointment in the tree. It hadn’t grown much at all and was looking very sad. They agreed with my assessment and offered to remove the tree and replace it with another tree of my choice at no cost to me! I was shocked at their extremely generous offer! I’ll definitely have The Plant Guys back when I decide to landscape my back yard. They are the best!

Nick from Plant Guys did a thorough evaluation of our backyard landscape needs and offered a comprehensive quote and landscape design to fit our budget and make the blank area look good again. The installation crew were very nice and professional. They did a great job of prepping the space and getting the soil ready and expertly planting each plant and adding the proper fertilizer for the season. It has been about 6+ weeks and the plants are thriving. Nick always responds to my emails in a timely manner with solid answers and good advice. I will definitely use them again in the future.

UPDATE - This team is now helping me at our new house in the S. Charlotte area. I got to know Jessie and his team today. Great communication, pleasant, professional and respectful. We had a brief delay in starting on the day of install, but they were very flexible and provided plenty of heads up.

I continue to recommend TPG to anyone looking for these services.
______

I've been working with TPG for 5 years now and have come to rely up on them for everything from: annual mulch work, individual planting projects, and just this past weekend a total refresh from the drab overgrown bushes in the front landscape area around the house.

I recommend Nick, crew lead James and their teams including Oliver & Angelie to anyone. Their work is spot on, pricing fair and transparent, but hands down their communication and responsiveness is what I really appreciate about them. Their teams operate with respect for the property, clean up after themselves, and genuinely care about their work and exude professionalism.

Did I mention they proactively check up on their work and guarantee new plants for up to a year after the project?

Whats not to love? They rock.

I had ferns planted beneath a tree which needed ground cover, and the guys showed up on time. After checking their work the next day it appeared that some of the plants weren’t placed properly, so I called to see what could be done. Within a day or two, Nick arrived in the afternoon; we talked and then he worked almost until dark rearranging the ferns. When I thanked him for his work, Nick said he wants to treat every job as if it were in his own yard. I know I can trust them for any other work I might have.

We had some low spots in our backyard that pooled up with water and took forever to dry out, which made for a muddy mess, so we had The Plant Guys level the backyard for us. The topsoil they used looked like good quality soil; it wasn't clay or full of rocks. After adding the topsoil, they seeded the lawn and overtop of that they put peat moss. The grass came through great, and after experiencing about a week of rain, I can say they really fixed the problem we were having.

On top of that, the crew was easy-going and seemed to make pretty quick work of the job.

We highly recommend The Plant Guys and will use them again in the future.

We had a great experience working with Jeff from the Plant Guys. He coordinated w/ Heart & Hammer to completely revamp our property. The process of working with the Plant Guys was super easy compared to other landscaping companies we looked at; Jeff came for a free consultation and talked through a design with us on the spot. His team completed the job (front and back yard) in less than two days, and were timely, clean, and precise in their work. We highly recommend working with Jeff and his team.

I’ve done many projects with the Plant Guys over the years. They just recently completed a major drainage improvement project and the work they did was phenomenal as always. Special call out to Justin who was the crew chief for this project. Justin works tirelessly but what really stands out is his attention to detail and his going above and beyond to make things perfect. Cannot recommend the Plant Guys enough!!!

Great experience with Plant Guys. Lauren came out and really listened to what we were trying to create. She developed a plan and throughly discussed it with us for feedback. She did a remarkable job in bring the yard to life. The installation crew was friendly and professional. Always available for questions, and could speak with knowledge about the plants and their care. Highly recommend Plant Guys.

Jeff and his team were incredible from start to finish. I was able to get a consultation and estimate within days of calling. Jeff worked through ideas to help keep me within my budget without sacrificing the look. His knowledge about plants and his patience for the design process was terrific. He maintained great communication, planned out the schedule, and his team showed up right on time, which was super appreciated! During the staging of the plants and material, he and his team were very thorough and thoughtful as we collaborated on the positioning of pieces. We bounced ideas back and forth to shape out the design and make sure it made sense for maintenance and the future growth of the plants. I really liked that Jeff trusted his team and would ask for their input at times; I can tell there is camaraderie and respect amongst his crew, which made it a pleasure to be around them. The house looks great. I am so thrilled with how the landscaping turned out. But, the best part was simply working with such a professional and caring group of people. I already plan to use them for future landscaping and maintenance needs!

Recently had new landscaping to our front yard. Lauren did a wonderful job working with us to plan out the space and was so patient with all of our questions and changes. The teams that came to work were professional and wonderful young men. The team leaders were knowledgeable and worked tirelessly to complete the project. Kudos to Jackson for his perfection and work ethic. We love our project and neighbors stop all the time to admire it. Some have already decided to use this company after seeing our project. Thank you for a great experience!

Very pleased with both the design and installation of plants and trees in the backyard of our new house. The plants Lauren selected provide seasonal color and low maintenance. She was fun to work with and very patient. She always had several options to choose from. We brought several concrete pieces from our previous residences and she incorporated them nicely in our new landscape. This is my second project using Plant Guys. I highly recommend them.
